Mo-mo(dumpling)is a type of dumpling food made in Himalayan part of Nepal or in the Tibet before many years . But , now it is famous in all part of Nepal .Mostly in the capital city of Nepal (Kathmandu). It is similar to Mongolian and Chinese food . The Tibetan spells Mo-mo as loanword from Chinese word .
Generally , mo-mo is made from the white floor . The white floor is mixed in water and dough is made. After the dough is made ,dough is picked into small pieces .
In the dough little amount of meat,onion,garlic,paste are added . The meat,onion,garlic are mixed with some spices like salt , pepper , chilly powder , mo-mo masala(spices) .
Inside the dough meat are added and fashioned like a small circular flat pieces . The filling is made and circular in many types . It might be circular , oval , crescent moon shaped etc .It might differ from people to people . The meats used in mo-mo may be anything . It may be vegetarian too . In veg mo-mo cabbage , carrot , onion and some spices are added . The mo-mo is accompanied with achar ,or any kinds of soup.
Mo-mo can be made fried ,steam also . Mostly it is steamed and prepared . It is prepared in steam utensils . It is common in upper Nepal ,Darjeeling , Sikkim ,Tibet etc.
Mo-mo is very spicy food . Soup of Mo-mo is very spicy . Everybody likes mo-mo.
